CHOMP! 2021 Activities & Partners

Join Tree Time to explore the lush green canopy of a great graceful oak tree named Alice. Watch the river flow by below as blue herons slowly stalk a slippery snack. Climb up the rope system into the tree canopy using a tried and true climbing style for new climbers known as Double Rope Technique, good for climbers age 6 to 96. Join us and let life slow down, experience Tree Time.

Check out CHOMP!’s Farmers Market and take home some local produce!  2021 vendors include: Bluebird Ice Cream, Dancing Crow Farm, First Light Farm, Hollyhock Farm, and Mt Si Fungi

This year’s event features a full day of live music including Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange) as well as family favorite Caspar Babypants.  Click the image above to see the full lineup!

Meet some of the fuzzies from Dandelion Fuzzies Minifarm located in Carnation, Washington!

Find the red roosters as you explore CHOMP! The first 100 completed forms turned in will receive a special prize from our friends at King Conservation District

Grab a bite to eat from one (or two!) of our local food vendors.  CHOMP! vendors include Patty Pan Cooperative, Black Star Kebabs, Nutty Squirrel Gelato, Jalissa’s Culinary Co., Theary Cambodian Foods and Jazze’s Organic Afghan-American Fusion

Decorate a zucchini and race it against friends and family!  Used zucchinis will be donated to one of our farm partners to be used as animal feed.

Join our friends from HONK! Fest and create your own percussion instrument using veggies and recycled items.  Then join in on the veggie parade starting at 4pm!

Get more life out of what you love! Bring your clothing items that need small alterations, missing a button, or need a new zipper or a patch. Bring your jeans, shirts, or dresses to a Fix-it Fair mending station and we’ll give them a second life.

Looking for CHOMP! merch?  Our friends at The Vera Project will be hosting a Bring-It-Screen-It onsite at CHOMP – bring an old tee or tote and leave with a repurposed CHOMP! souvenir

CHOMP!’s Upcycle Bazaar is the hub for learning more about sustainable living and connecting with King County organizations focused on reducing waste.  2021 partners include: Zero Waste Washington, Refugee Artisan Initiative, Second Use, Scoop Marketplace, Sunny Littles, Out of the Box Ecostore, and Seattle ReCreative

Wilderness Awareness School is an internationally-recognized leader in outdoor education with a mission to help children and adults cultivate healthy relationships with nature, community, and self.

Scoop Marketplace is a zero waste grocery store that originated in Seattle, WA. Scoop offers an amazing shopping experience with package-free groceries, zero-waste lifestyle products, and home care goods in one easily accessible location. By sourcing our products in bulk, Scoop eliminates the need for disposable packaging and significantly reduces environmental impact.

Seattle ReCreative promotes creativity, community, and environmental stewardship through creative reuse and arts education.  Seattle ReCreative collects donations of used materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill from local businesses and individuals and redistributes to the community. Proceeds from the resale of these goods helps fund their arts programming and supplies free creative materials and workshops to the community.

Sunny Littles’s mission is to provide families a local destination for sustainable and ethically made solutions for their child’s everyday needs. Our shop sells toys, games, apparel, and baby gear for children ages 0-6 years old. Based in North Bend, Washington and founded in 2021 by two mamas, Danielle Watson and Samora Jones.
