CHOMP!, King County’s celebration of local food and sustainable living, will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at King County’s Marymoor Park. Now in its sixth year, CHOMP! brings together audiences and artisans, families and farmers (and sometimes both) for a day of fun and memorable times.

CHOMP!’s programming offers not only music and food but some unique, engaging experiences that make this a fresh spin on a County Fair: attendees will visit the Community Kitchen—where they can watch, learn from, and taste the work of top local chefs. They can attend the Earth School to get their hands dirty, make soap from felt, climb a tree (under supervision), and more. They can experience the Farmers Village, Upcycle Bazaar, and more.

CHOMP! has enjoyed partnerships with  a number of great organizations to present our programs, including: Seattle Tilth, BikeWorks, Washington Native Plant Society, King County Parks, Manufacture, King Conservation District, King County Local Food Initiative, 4H, King County Farmers Markets, King County Metro, and many more.

This year, we invite you to join us as a Program Partner. Our goals are to bring the County community out to be part of CHOMP! and to help you at the same time.

Responsibilities and Opportunities

CHOMP! needs:

Talent: Our core program areas were developed over the years in collaboration with local advisors and organizations. We depend on many collaborators to help deliver the best engaging activities. See our Program Overview for specific and current descriptions. We can discuss specific elements you could provide, or support in some other way.

Promotions: with you, we will customize a campaign through which you can help spread the word about CHOMP! via social media, direct emails, and other strategies.

Outreach: you can help connect CHOMP! leadership to key stakeholders, audiences or individuals who can help further promote CHOMP! or support its programming.

Attendance: Attend CHOMP! 2020 and bring your community with you. CHOMP! offers a shuttle program that can offer direct transportation from a central location that is convenient for your community to Marymoor Park. We would like to work with you to integrate your constituency into our direct attendance strategy.

CHOMP! offers:

  • Recognition on chomplocal.org
  • Recognition in all published materials related to our partnership
  • Opportunity to promote your organization at CHOMP!
  • Opportunity to host a booth at CHOMP!, in addition to any program integration
  • In some cases programming stipends may be allocated to organizational partners who contribute programming to CHOMP!
  • We are happy to work with you to make our partnership meet your particular needs.
