Refugee Artisan Iniative

The Refugee Artisan Initiative is a non-profit organization in Seattle to provide training, tools and equipment for immigrant and refugee women with limited income to become self sufficient artisans. We teach them to make fabric jewelry and sewn accessories such as bags, pouches and kitchen items  from recycled and repurposed materials. Many of our products are made from Eileen Fisher Renew’s used garment as it has a large recycling center in Seattle. We believe job creation for neediest  and sustainability can go hand-in-hand.
