In August 2019 King County hosted its fifth annual CHOMP! festival celebrating all that is fresh, delicious, local and sustainable in our community. CHOMP! continues to support King County Dow Constantine’s Local Food Initiative by highlighting local farmers, chefs and restaurants using local sourced food, and local organizations specializing in healthy food, sustainability and social justice.
THe Biggest Chomp Yet
With more than 6,000 attendees and more programming partners than ever before, CHOMP! 2019 was the biggest ever! Attendees browsed local produce at the farmers market, shopped at our Upcycle Bazaar featuring local makers, decorated and raced zucchini, and tried out their sleuthing skills in our CHOMP! scavenger hunt.
We also had a fantastic lineup on our main stage throughout the day, featuring musical artists from across the country. Performances included Caspar Babypants, Eli Rosenblatt, The Black Tones and the legendary Mavis Staples.
